After announcing its intention to contest the "unworthy presence" of Jean HAVELKA (fierce opponent of the Prague Spring) as head of the Czechoslovakian delegation at the PSIUP Congress, the RP was not invited to attend.

21 AUGUST - Italy: Rome - Czechoslovakia

Protest march on the 3rd anniversary of the invasion of Czechoslovakia; democratic Italian public opinion is urged to ask for the release of Czechoslovakian political prisoners.

SEPTEMBER - Italy: Turin - Antimilitarism

Demonstration outside the military court against the trial of conscientious objectors Mario PIZZOLA and Matteo SOCCIO.

NOVEMBER - Italy: Milan - Sexuality

FUORI (Fronte Unitario Omossessuali Rivoluzionari Italiani - United Front of Revolutionary Italian Homosexuals) is founded during a conference in which various homosexual groups participated. From November 1974 onwards, FUORI was to be federated with the RP. The magazine of the same name, edited by Angelo PEZZANA, dealt with various aspects of sexual oppression.

OCTOBER - Italy - La Prova Radicale (The Radical Test)

First issue of the quarterly magazine La Prova Radicale, the first Radical Party fascicule, edited by Massimo TEODORI (last issue: Autumn 1973), is published.

NOVEMBER - Italy. Rome - X RP CONGRESS

Liquidation of the Party is avoided through debate and an increase in membership. Decision is made to confront anti-divorce referendum, refusing any form of legislative compromise. Support for bill on conscientious objection.
