The RP and the LOC (League of Conscientious Objectors) hold a demonstration in favour of the eleven soldiers arrested in Novara, in front of the military attorney’s office.

Appeal for the ninth nonviolent antimilitarist march by ICI (Insoumission Collective Internacionale) and the RP: "Redipuglia - Peschiera," "Huaguenau - Verdun," "Sardinia."

First four Radical deputies elected to the Italian Parliament: Emma BONINO, Adele FACCIO, Mauro MELLINI, Marco PANNELLA. Fifty-five percent of the candidates on the lists presented by the RP were women - who headed the lists in all the constituencies.

28 JULY/1 AUGUST - Italy: France - Antimilitarism

"First International March of the Nonviolent Antimilitarists," with the traditional Trieste-Aviano march being extended to the Franco-German border, along the Metz-Verdun route. The march then transferred to Sardinia to demonstrate against the installation of the nuclear submarine base at La Maddalena. The march was to last thirty days, and participants covered the 400km, through Italy and France, on foot. The main theme of the march was the conversion of military apparatuses and budgets into industrial ones. (Prova radicale, NR no. 19 p. 8)
