Angiolo Bandinelli was born (Siena) on 21 March 1927. He graduated in literature and worked as a secondary school teacher. During the Resistance he joined the Partito d'Azione, then the European Federalist Movement, where he covered various positions, and then the Liberal Party. In the early '60s he was part of the group which refounded the Radical party, together with Marco Pannella. Editor of "Agenzia Radicale", of the magazine "La Prova Radicale" and, for many years, of "Notizie Radicali". Political secretary of the party for three years, for many years he worked as treasurer and member of the Federal Council. Local councillor in Rome and deputy during the 9th legislature. He worked as a journalist for "Il Mondo", "Nord e Sud" and for the state owned TV. Editorialist for Radio Radicale. In addition to a series of political and literary essays on magazines and periodicals, in 1990 he published "Il Radicale impunito. Nonviolenza, diritti civili, Europa". Translated from T.S. Eliot, D.G. Rossetti, R. Lowell, A. Beardsley, etc. Editor of a collection of political works for the publishing firm "Biblioteca dell'Immagine". (Rome, July 1991)
