Inside the United Nations

UN: IN JULY 1998, AN INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT TO PROSECUTE WAR CRIMES WILL BE CREATED. ROME WILL HOST DIPLOMATS FROM 185 MEMBER STATES OF THE UNITED NATIONS FOR THE CONFERENCE OF PLENIPOTENTIARIES THAT WILL ADOPT THE STATUTE OF THE PERMANENT TRIBUNAL.


Emma Bonino, European Commissioner (former Secretary of TRP) and Olivier Dupuis, Secretary of TRP and MEP, consigned on december 1st to Mr. Kofi Annan, UN Secretary General, the appeal undersigned by over 50 Chiefs of State or Government and by over 700 MPs in favour of the establishment of the International Criminal Court in 1998.
